The reason for choosing House Season 5 was because I have already seen the first four seasons of House and missed a few episodes on the fifth season, so I said to my self why not just do some work and watch what I have missed at the same time. House Season five is relevant to my life because it is based on the medical field which my cousin is also a part of. This television show gives me a brief description on what happens in a hospital and the rare cases they might encounter on the daily bases. Obviously, this show is relevant to society because it deals with real life events such as accidents, illnesses, and personal drama. The most challenging part of the show was describing the feeling that each character had, especially that of Gregory House. House is a very confusing character and very stubborn at times. I would get confused when he would say comments; it would be sometimes difficult to distinguish the sarcastic ones from the ones that were to be taken seriously. I really liked this show because it was one of the television shows that could really keep me entertained and interested on what is going to occur next… The one character that I feel that I connected with the most was Thirteen. I feel that I saw myself within Thirteen because she was a young woman that was very smart and had a lot of knowledge on the field of her study, however did not know what she wanted in life so she lived on the wild side and did crazy things in order to find her place in society. I believe that the show is a success because it is now on it sixth season. I believe that the outside influences that impacted the series are real event that we still deal with today such as obesity, racism, sexuality, and religion. Although House is a mean and ignorant doctor he is the best doctor in the hospital. This TV show might be at times frustrating because it may seem that House does not care when in reality he does. Some episodes may be very upsetting but regardless it influences the audience to go get help and not to be afraid of what other think. Throughout the season there were major character development by House, Cuddy, and Wilson. Wilson tried to get over Ambers death, while Cuddy tried her best to become a mother, and House debated on his emotions toward Cuddy. There was indeed sexual tension between House and Cuddy, Thirteen and Foreman. I believe this help build the mood and interested on the audience to see what would happen next in the season. If I had to convince a friend of mine to watch this season the one episode I would choose for them to watch is “The Greater Good.” I would choose this episode because I believe that this episode showed every emotional side of every character which would help my friend understand why this is such a great show.

House Season 5 Episode 24 Both Sides Now

Although this episode had a patient and a case study I want to focus mainly on House. House for the pass few episodes has slowly been falling apart. In the beginning of the season he had some what of guilt because of Amber’s death later his would continue living his life as normal. Now for the past few episodes the audience can see that House has had to become dependent on both Cuddy and Wilson because he is going crazy with the thought of Amber haunting him. Cuddy fires House in this episode because he shouts that he has had sex with Cuddy. Later, in the episode House seems to be perfectly fine, he has not seen Amber or anything. Then the episode got kind of confusing to me because it had a series of flash back and then House ended in Cuddy’s office telling her that he is not doing well. Cameron and Chase finally get married and House is driven by Wilson to psychiatric and decided to stay there because he is not getting better ending season 5 of House. I rate this episode a 4 because it summed up all of House issues and concern and showed that at the end he did need help form others to continue with his life.

House Season 5 Episode 23 Under My Skin

Amber continues to taunt House and House had no other choice but to tell Wilson however he told Wilson that he is seeing Kutner not Amber. Wilson tried to help House by watching over his case to see if House is fit enough to practice medicine. The fact that becoming sick and imagining Amber may interfere with him being able to treat patients scares House. Cuddy’s and House relationship has grown massively. House had enough courage to tell Cuddy that he is hallucinating and she wants to help him by helping him get rid of his addiction of vicoden. This shows me that both House and Cuddy care for each other and toward the end of the episode Cuddy is about to leave Houses apartment when they began to passionately kiss and the episode end on a cliff hanger make one wonder if House and Cuddy had sex or not.

House Season 5 Episode 22 House Divided

Throughout this episode house is having hallucinations of Amber which is freaking him out. Chase is having a bachelor party which House is hosting and is enjoying the fact that he is going to host it. As for House having Amber appear in his every move House confuses himself when at Chase bachelor party Chase gets an allergic reaction to strawberry yet House knew he was allergic strawberry. Did this mean that House wanted Chase to die or did Amber wanted Chase to die? Later House thinks he is seeing Amber everywhere because he is lacking of sleep so he get sleeping pills from Cuddy but before she hands him the prescription he tell her that the reason he can not sleep is because he hasn’t been able to since Kutner’s death. House awakens from a restful nap only to find that Amber is still taunting him. I rate this episode a 4.

House Season 5 Episode 21 Saviors

Cameron cancelled her vacation with Chase and decided to stay at the hospital to help House with his new case of an activist for the environment. Chase wonders if Cameron is involved with House and if he should be worried. Chase approached Cuddy and asks her if she thinks that Cameron is in love with House and her responses that it is not likely. Later, on during the episode Cuddy approaches Cameron “showing her territory” by asking her if she is in love with House which doesn’t respond. This goes to show that Cuddy’s feelings for House has not changed. The episode continues and the case is solved when House discover that the patient got sick by some roses he bought his wife. The episode ends with House playing his piano and then Amber appears. I liked this episode so I rate it a 4.

House Season 5 Episode 20 Simple Explanation

This has to be one of the weirdest episodes yet that I have seen in his season of House. Kutner has committed suicide which has left the team in shock. He patient that are being treated are a couple who are both dying. There was a debate between both husband and wife on their organs being donate to each other to save each others lives. However the wife was diagnosed with a disease that was to late to treat. The plot of this episode was not what bothered me the most it was the fact that scenery colors were very shadowy and dark which made it very sad and depressing. I guess it was made like that intentionally. As much as interesting that it was this episode was by far one of the episode that I truly can say I did not want to watch I rate this episode a 3.5.

House Season 5 Episode 19 Locked In

His episode was a very rare one. For the first time that I have seen any House episode was there episode mainly shot thought the eyes of a patient. Meaning for the perspective of what the patient can see. This patient is trapped within his own body and can only communicate through his eyes by blinking. Every time that something was to be shown form the patients view point the scene seems to be blurry. In addition to this having someone trapped in their own body showed how one can not say what needs to be said or how hard it is to be heard. When the episode was ending Wilson told House that he was going to end up lonely and while the elevator doors were closing the picture of Wilson through Houses eyes was blurry as well making me concluded that later on in the season House is going to trapped with in his own body

House Season 5 Episode 18 Here Kitty

This episode was very funny to me because it dealt with a lot of superstitions. Form the team Kutner is the one who mostly believes in it although he is denying it. Morgan who is he patient in this episode believe that she has 48 hours to live because a cat that predicts when people are going to die pointed her to be next. So fakes her illness to later be diagnosed to be really dying. In this episode there were many instances in which House picked on Kutner because of his superstitious beliefs. Taub is struggling financially and meets one of his old high school friends that is a CEO and manages to convince Taub to work for him making Taub want to quit the hospital. House told him o leave but that he knew for sure that he would be back. Later on Taub come back with donuts that House told him to bring once he knew he would not succeed in his friends company. I rate this episode a 3 because it was neither boring nor edgy just right.

House Season 5 Episode 17 The Social Contract

So in this episode of House a spilt personality patient helps House understand how he pushes everyone away especially those who are closes to him. This makes house realize that he is similar to the patient when it some to saying what in their mind and not caring and how it can affect other. Watching this episode helps me see how Houses personality and feelings have been changing through out the episodes. Before he was a very mean person but now he is realizing that his words hurt people. Later house has an instinct that Kaub and Wilson are hiding something from him. I also notice a similarity in me and House because we both won’t let go of something until we find out what is the answer so he uses Kaub to print out all of Wilson’s emails which invades his privacy. House discovers that he has been emailing a doctor that helps with suicidal patients. I wonder if Wilson is still upset about his Amber’s death. However House discovers that Wilson is really going to visit his brother.

House season 5 Episode 16 “The Softer Side”

So this episode mainly revolves around House and his attitude towards everything. At first I didn’t know if whether or not House was just playing a role of being a jerk or really being a friendly person for a change. Later on I discover that he has been taking other medications which have helped him get rid of the majority of the pain his leg had been suffering which has helped him become less of a jerk. Foreman and Thirteen create a scene in which they supposedly break up just to keep their jobs however both Taub and Kutner known that they are still together which is odd to because they discovered it and House hasn’t. Kutner and Wilson start to think that House is taking illegal drugs and Wilson tries to prove it. Cuddy gets very upset at Houses confession on taking strong drug to get rid of his pain and prescribes him a lower dosage of pain reliever which House refuses to take. After some consideration House take the meds for Cuddy and as he walks out the door he places them in the garbage. This episode shows how Houses team is concerned about House and how much they care about him I rate this episode a 3.
